Privacy Policy for The Music Player

The Music Player ("we," "our," or "us") operates a local music player for Android. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1) Summary
- - No account is required. Music files remain on your device.
- - The App reads audio from device storage and MediaStore to build your library.
- - Optional Last.fm integration may send artist/album queries to Last.fm for images and metadata.
- - We do not sell personal information.
2) Information on your device
Playlists, play counts, history, blacklist folders, theme preferences, and tag edits are stored locally. Audio files are not uploaded to our servers.
3) Third-party services
- - Last.fm (optional) — artist search and image metadata when enabled
- - Google Play Billing (optional) — Pro upgrade or donations if offered in your version
4) Permissions
- - Storage / media audio — scan and play local music files
- - Internet — optional Last.fm and store features
- - Notifications — playback controls on Android 13+
